By using the DHA Public Access Link (PAL) system, the requester is able to create a user account that provides a login ID and password, which allows the requester to submit their requests electronically, check the status of their request at any time, communicate directly with the case officer, and electronically receive interim and final responses to their requests.

To Submit A FOIA Request Online

The DHA Requester Service Centers (RSC) only processes Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests for records related to the Defense Health Agency.  Please direct requests related to the Military Services, Combatant Commands, or other Defense Agencies, go to FOIA.gov to submit your request to the appropriate organization/component that maintains the record(s) of interest.

To Submit a Privacy Act Request

DHA Requester Service Centers (RSC) do not process Privacy Act request(s).  For information on how to submit a Privacy Act Request, visit our Privacy Act page.

To Check the Status of a FOIA Request

If you are a registered requester with the online submission site, you can Sign In to view the status of your request, send a message to the FOIA office, or download responsive records once they are delivered.

If you are not a registered requester, you can still check the status of the request(s) by clicking on Check Request Status in the toolbar.  Be prepared to enter the tracking number, provided by the FOIA office, to retrieve the status of your request(s).
